The first venture of the Company took place before the AGM. A proposal to do some carol singing in Sitges led to the formation of a choir under the direction of Chris Small, who, in the short time before Christmas, turned an assortment of untrained voices into a choir singing four part harmony carols in English, Catalan, Castellano and Latin.
Members also take part in a variety of events of a theatrical or social nature, chiefly at the Liberty Hotel, but also at other suitable venues, including Members' homes.
In the past these have included theatrical workshops, Christmas carols, a make-up workshop, unrehearsed play-readings, Quiz nights, a Scottish evening, a Bollywood evening, a murder party entitled Brie, Bullet and Black Cat, and eleven versions of the popular Call My Bluff concocted by our semantic sorcerer, John Merry.
Even our AGMs are well-attended, possibly because of the variety of curries we serve to those lasting the course.
